A brief history of 50 years in Lutterworth & nearly 200 years in the jewellery trade

Robinsons of Lutterworth Ltd are celebrating 50yrs in business and 50yrs in Lutterworth!

The journey began in in 1973 when Janet Robinson purchased 16 Church St from John  Wheeler as Wheelers tobacconist. Throughout the 70’s Janet began the transformation of Robinsons into the high class jewellers it continues to be. In 1981 Matthew Robinson, Janet’s son, joined the business and Matthew took the business from strength to strength understanding the importance of quality stock, and most importantly, loyal customers.

A testament to that loyalty is our staff. Jason our jeweller has been with us for over 35yrs proudly looking after Lutterworths most treasured jewellery, and Jayne, our front of house who has warmly welcomed generations of the same family for over 30yrs! More recently Joseph Robinson, Matthew’s nephew and Janet’s grandson, joined the Robinsons team in Lutterworth, ensuring a third generation of the Robinson family could proudly serve Lutterworth and the surrounding community.

So what are we going to do to celebrate 50yrs, and to say thank you to our amazing and loyal local customers…
